Derek was my neighbour from the day I was born, both he and Ella were so helpful and supportive to my dad when he and mum divorced. Derek would always be out in his garden, which was always immaculate or cleaning his car which he did every weekend and would always stop and speak and nothing was ever too much trouble.  Derek liked to have a bet on the horses and he and dad often compared notes. I will always have fond memories of Derek, he was a truly wonderful, friendly person, may he Rest in peace.
